and now....

So that last post brings me to today.... Today....I am 123 lbs. Today....I did not work out....but only because we are fighting a losing battle with the flu in my house. Today....I have a flat(ish) tummy. Not yet a six pack....but not the gross roll over your pants piece of flab it was a year ago. Today.... I have a half decent butt, but needs more lifting (will be writing on goals later..) Today....I like my body (mostly...but we all need goals right??) And what I did to get to today I wish I would have journaled all along. In December (the 31st I believe) I started working out at a gym that opened that very day up the street. Literally, up the street. I started working out three days a week....attending classes as I could not push myself to just work out on my own. I was taking a hot yoga class and two cardio/weight interval classes. And I was still eating like crap. I ended up doing that for 5 months and lost 10 lbs! I think the cardio and added muscle gain helped eat up those 10 lbs. Then towards the summer I started getting serious. Losing that 10 lbs helped me see that I could lose weight...I could reach my goal. I upped my workouts to four times a week around May...and then to five and in September I upped it to six days at the gym and added in 3.5 km speed walk pushing a 37 lb child in a stroller. Lol. In the summer I stopped eating at McDonalds and other greasy fast food places. In September I stopped eating white potatoes, rice and breads for dinner. I went super low carb/high greens for about 6 weeks which I think re-jump started my weight loss and I went down 10 lbs in that time. I called it my "shit yourself skinny" plan. Adding a lot of veggies and greens does that. I'm eating breads again but no startchy carbs after 3 pm. I eat a fruit and protein smoothie every day at breakfast, on weekends I add in oatmeal. I eat a lot of veggies through the day between meals. Dinners consist of a shit load of salad, and fish or chicken. Sometimes a bbq'd burger. And that's how I came to be 123. And I feel great!
